February marked a delightful milestone for the youngest members of Our Lady of the Assumption School community, as the new Prep Playground opened to wide-eyed excitement from both students and teachers alike. This vibrant addition to our school facilities has quickly become a hub of activity, offering endless fun with its climbing frames, swings, slides, and more.
The completion of this playground is part of a broader initiative to enhance the Prep area, which earlier this year welcomed a new sand pit and deck area adjacent to the classroom. These upgrades not only enrich playtime but also serve as dynamic spaces for outdoor learning, supporting our educational philosophy.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Parent & Friends (P&F) Committee, whose dedication and effort in securing financial grants were crucial in making this project a reality. Their commitment to improving our school's facilities is deeply appreciated.
Looking ahead, we are excited to continue improvements with the upcoming installation of a shade sail over the playground, ensuring our students can enjoy these new facilities comfortably and safely even during sunnier days.
Plans are in motion to further develop Alice’s Garden and the Prayer Circle. These spaces are intended to offer our students serene areas for reflection and spiritual growth, enhancing the holistic education we strive to provide at Our Lady of the Assumption.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to create an enriching environment that supports the educational journey of every student!
