The teachers aim to develop in the children a sound knowledge of the teachings of Jesus as these have been passed on to us in the Catholic Church.
At the same time, teachers, in partnership with families, try to help children live in a way that is consistent with those teachings, especially as they apply to their everyday lives. Teachers do this by enabling the children to reflect on their own experiences and by helping them to let the light of the gospel shine on those experiences.
The School places great emphasis on celebrating the significant faith events in the Church's calendar. The partnership between parents and teachers is crucial to the ongoing faith development of children.
Part of Religious Education is the pastoral attitude we bring to our School. This is supported by our parish clergy through the celebration of the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation with the School community and their general interest in and support of the school.
